going home........................

I'm so excited to be heading home to Scotland tomorrow. I always shed a wee tear when i drive past the Welcome to Scotland sign. (This isn't it - i just love the cliche of this bagpiper standing next to the sign in this picture!).  I'm looking forward to seeing my Mum and Dad as i haven't seen them since last August. I'll be catching up with some old friends too. My cousin has just completed a fashion design course and is exhibiting her work at the Kelvingrove Art Gallery on Saturday afternoon. She is super talented and has previously won an internship to Amanda Wakeley, so watch out for her name, Anna Scott!  The college poster looks pretty great so i think it'll be an interesting show.
I'm also excited to be visiting Supermecado at the famous Glasgow Barras market. It's run by the lovely girls from www.wearemadeintheshade.com and looks like it has super craft makers and vintage stalls to browse.

I'm also looking forward to going to this shop in the Contemporary Centre for the Arts - the welcome home store. It looks beautiful, and stocks these fantastic models of Glasgow tenements to take home and build. I would happily move back into a tenement but this is the closest i'm going to get in Yorkshire!
