Howdy. Here in Leeds this week we've had several days of sunshine. Glorious, warm and with crisp blue skies. It's been beautiful. But today not so much, it's been grey and gloomy. It's always on days like this that I long for Spring. My hands feels ripped to pieces by weather and work. Constantly bleeding, chapped and without any time to heal. Winter, I need you to leave now.
This week has however provided me with some great moments to cherish. Time spent with loved ones and friends.
^ A spectacular view and gorgeous sunny day up on Ilkley Moor. We walked all the way to the Twelve Apostles. It was pretty scary at times as there was so much ice and it took way longer than expected because of the conditions. But totally worth all that effort for that outlook. And it was so warm that we had to take our coats, hats and scarves off! I don't think I'll ever forget that view with all the snow on the hills.
^ Bringing in some Springtime colour to my home. Tulips, daffodils and hyacinths brighten up the mantel. Alongside a new buy from one of my all time favourite stores
, this enamel candleholder has lots of rustic charm. Just need to find some nice candles now.
^ A great vintage find. I adore old enamelware and this kelly green colander was screaming out to be bought. It's huge and hardly fits in our kitchen cupboard but I just couldn't say no. My original plan was to keep it for camping equipment but it's too nice not to be used regularly.
^ And finally, I visited
on Monday to meet with fellow Leeds blogger and a lady whose talent I have admired for a long time. If you don't already know Manda of
then I urge you to go check out her blog and her shop. She is one in a million. The tetley is superb and it's great to see how a building with so much history has developed into a new centre for contemporary arts whilst still celebrating it's brewing heritage. The cafe is really laid back and the perfect place to spend with family and friends. A great addition to Leeds.
Hope you've had a great week too. x
