Hello there. Thank you all so very much for your wonderful comments about my photography portfolio. I've been very touched by your kindness and support. I'll be updating it when I can.
This post is the first in a series I'm contributing to over on Annie's wonderful blog Manneskjur. Nature Seekers is all about inspiring us adults to get outdoors and look at nature. Now that my son is heading off to High School I know that I'll have a lot more time to just be 'me'. And one of the privileges of having this time to myself is taking pictures and observing the world around me.
Today I wandered up to the Market Garden and took some shots amongst the purple sprouting broccoli that had gone to seed. The beauty of the yellow flowers was breathtaking and it was alive with our honeybees and other pollinators. The audible buzz provided a calming atmosphere, the sun was shining and I pretty much lost myself for an hour taking pictures, enjoying the worker bees doing their job.To me, there is nothing more relaxing than spending time alone in nature.
