Hello! Hope you are all well.
It's been a busy old week here in the Birdie household. And what a funny week, weather wise. Rainy, cold, humid, hot, grey. But a little more sunshine would be nice eh? It's also given my hay fever a battering. Saturday was tough, I was soaked to the skin and thought I was getting an awful cold. Turned out it was a massive drop of pollen. I felt like I could hardly breathe at times.
Anyhoo, these are highlights from the past week via my Instagram feed:
^^ The last Clematis flower in the garden. I felt like I had to cut it, stick it in a vase and photograph it. I love the colours and the effect - it reminds me of a watercolour painting.
^^ Monday was a lovely day spent with my husband. A cheeky lunch out and beer whilst the boy was at school. A friend recommended the fab 'Crowd of Favours' pub in Leeds, owned by Leeds Brewery. It's full of quirky details, local beers and great food. We will definitely be heading back there.
^^ Successful succulent propogation! I love how these are growing on my windowsill. They shoot out alienesque tentacles and now I have babies. I'm going to keep doing this over the course of the summer.
^^ Lupins from the garden. I have four different colours. They look so beautiful, but they are bloomin' fiddly to arrange in a vase.
^^ Today I visited Manchester. I had a blog project to work on, but before I headed there, I dropped in on the beautiful lifestyle store and cafe, Fig and Sparrow. I could happily have spent a couple of hours there. Lots of lovely things to eat and to buy. And so many stunning interior details. Get yourself there if you are in the area.
Have a great week. x
