Well it's been quite a long time since I posted on here. I hope you are all well. I finally have a little time off work to chill out and relax but I'm also trying to get myself organised as we are off to Scotland in a couple of weeks for my cousin's wedding. Lately my life feels very thrown together, rushing to and fro, trying to get things done, stressed and very tired - but these are some of the 'pieces' that have made things so much better.
I find buying clothes for special events really daunting as I'm not confident dressing up. I'm more a jeans and a pair of wellies kind of girl. There is also the extra stress of her wedding being in two parts, so I actually need two outfits! After many, many long hours searching online and visiting the high street, I finally chose a full abstract print skirt, some red clogs and a geometric necklace. I've still to find a top to complete the look (I'm thinking a plain, boat neck top with three quarter length sleeves), so I'm almost ready for the wedding. Tomorrow I'm heading out to the vintage stores as I'd like to find a dress I can wear to the evening event. My head kind of aches with all the decision making but I'm sure it will all be worth it in the end.
Yesterday afternoon I spent my time painting one of my six vintage school chairs. I bought them five years ago and they have been in the shed ever since! Now that Harry is getting bigger he needs a new desk to sit and study at, and this will fit the space perfectly. I'm loving that zingy blue colour.
Mothers Day brought me some beautiful tulips and a stunning green vase. I was also very lucky to have breakfast in bed and a lie-in. That Boy of mine did good.
