Saltaire

Hey up! How are you all today? The Boy and I decided on a little impromptu visit to Saltaire this morning. We usually go there a few times a year, but probably due to me working every weekend, we haven't been over for quite some time. If you have never visited

Saltaire

, well you are in for a treat. It's stuffed full of cafes,  galleries and vintage shops. It's also home to Salts Mill, which has restaurants, an art shop, the David Hockney Gallery, the best bookshop anywhere (in my humble opinion) and a cracking home wear store which sells Eames, Marimekko, Donna Wilson and Kartell pieces. Both the home store and the bookshop sell an amazing selection of cards and stationery. I never come away empty handed! And it was great to see that the bookshop is now selling some brilliant independent magazines like Cereal, Anorak and Okido. Salts Diner does great food with fantastic daily specials (I had the Portobello Mushroom burger - unbelievably good) and you can't fail to be impressed sitting under all those vintage industrial pendant lights.

After lunch we meandered up to Victoria Road to look at some of the independent shops. There are a couple of great vintage stores to browse but sadly one was closed today. However, a lovely new shop caught me eye -

Radstudio!

It's an absolutely gorgeous store run by Ally. It sells vintage clothing, jewellery, stationery, original artwork and Scandi pieces for the home including a large selection of Ferm Living items. There are also beautiful scarves by the Link Collective, MT tapes and stationery items by Bread and Jam and Nineteen Seventy Three.

Go check it out if you get the chance as it's a fantastic store. I've got one heck of a wishlist. My birthday is fast approaching, so I think these pictures may offer up a hint or two! x
