52 Weeks of Happy (21/52)
How are you all this week?
We're on half-term from school, although we haven't been doing much. The Boy is enjoying just playing with his friends in the street and visits to the park. Tomorrow we're heading off to the cinema.
Anyhoo here are this week's happy things:
▲ Long leisurely mornings. I love half-term. The alarm clock doesn't go off, you just wake up when you are ready. Coffee in bed - is there anything better?
▲ Re-reading To Kill A Mockingbird by Harper Lee. Such a beautiful novel, I don't think I appreciated it back when I was a teenager. It's funny how when you get older you notice all the things you missed. I've never seen the film, it's one to put on the rental list. I love watching the classics don't you?
▲ My latest little vintage find - a midcentury sugar bowl. I'm loving this spots and stripe pattern.
▲ My Hellebore in full flower in the garden. Such an elegant addition to the garden and offering up some much needed colour on these grey days.
▲ And finally, well I became a Great Aunt. At 39 years of age - I am now officially ancient! My niece gave birth this week to a little girl, Freya. She is suffering from an infection poor wee thing, but seems to be doing well.
Have a happy week everyone. x
