A walk in the woods with Joules
I was absolutely delighted to be asked by Joules, a brand I've liked and bought from several times, to review an item of my choice. If you don't already know Joules they are a British brand who started out 30 years ago selling countryside and equestrian clothing at outdoor events. Joules make great clothes that last, designs that are on trend, with bold, colourful patterns or my own personal favourite, sailor stripes. Basically, they are hardwearing, simple and wearable clothes for men, women and children. I love their wellies and have been wearing them for years, including at the Market Garden and surviving the mudfest that was last year's Greenman Festival (you can see them in action in the top picture if you check out that particular post!).
As much as I'd have liked to have picked something for myself from the range, I was happier choosing something from the boys clothes range. My son has been asking for a gilet for ages as he really likes them. So we looked together and chose the Jnr Burt in green. It's a lovely bright green colour, fully padded and machine washable.
We've been cooped up for ages with all the rain and wind we've had, but today was finally dry and bright and we thought it would be a good time to try out the gilet. The Boy loved being outside, running in the meadow and doing some tree climbing. I felt it was great to be outdoors, just breathing in some fresh air and enjoying what nature has to offer us in wintertime. The Boy liked the gilet very much, it kept him warm and was very comfortable, allowing him to do all the kinds of things that boys like to do!
Do check out the other boys gilets in the range as they come in several lovely colours and they are currently in the sale! x
