Little Birdie - My Year in Pictures (Part Two)
Time for part two today.
It's been great going through all my photographs from the year, it's so nice to see what and where we've been.
So here is May/June/July/August:
May - one of my favourite months, the bluebells are usually out in the woods and there is nothing better than a walk surrounded by the beauty of these delicate blue flowers. May is also the Boy's birthday month, and this year he celebrated his ninth with a trip to Salt's Mill for lunch. I love this picture of him enjoying his meal as it highlights his freckles!
June - the sun started to shine a little bit, and the Boy and I took the train to Scotland to visit the family. We had a great time visiting the Riverside Museum, crossing the Clyde in the ferry and enjoying the West End Festival when we went to Glasgow. And the Boy had a fantastic time in the water when we went to the beach.
July - old friends came to stay and we went to The Hepworth Gallery in Wakefield. School finished for the summer holidays and days turned more relaxed with lazy lie ins and lots of playing outside.
August - the rain came. But we did try and get out to explore our local woods as much as possible. We did lots of nature activities, pond dipping, mobile making and dragonfly hunting. And we finished the month with our trip to the Greenman Festival. This became more of a test of endurance than a holiday though!
Back for Part Three tomorrow. x
