Little Birdie - My Year in Pictures (Part One)

My friend Polly over at A Rowan Tree has done a lovely post all about her year. I was inspired by her post to do something similar here on Little Birdie. So over the next three days I'm going to show some of my favourite moments from the past 12 months.

The first quarter - January/February/March/April:

January and February were cold months, although not as bad as the last few years. We did plenty of inside activities, watching movies, drawing, crafting and eating cakes. We had half term fun at the Media Museum where we enjoyed the Moshi Monsters experience. And there was great fun in our street when snow arrived, culminating in a full on snowball fight between kids and the adults.

March brought more spring like weather. Blossom started to appear on the trees and we at last seemed to explore outside. We spent a great day out in Bradford at the opening of the new City Park where we marvelled at balloon acrobatics and free jumping displays.

April was busy and fun. The pink cherry tree blossom and blue skies made springtime so beautiful. The Boy and I had a fantastic vintage day out, beginning with tea and cake at Birds Yard in Leeds and then visiting the 70s exhibition at Leeds City Museum. Vegetable seeds were planted at home. I love those first signs of life growing from little pots of soil. Roll on Springtime!

So that's the first few months of 2012. I'll be back tomorrow with part two. x
